A drawing from a photograph of the interior of the church looking west
before the 1870 Restoration shows the proportions achieved by Pritchard. It
is clear that he retained the piers of a Perpendicular arcade and added his
own semi-circular arches and circular clerestory windows. Pritchard
employed his plasterer Joseph Bromfield and his carpenter Richard Lee for work on the organ loft at the west end of the
church ready for the new organ. Of Pritchard's work only some masonry
remains at the east end and a blocked window on the north chapel with Gibb's
surround.
